The Body Songs & Stories Series™ is an innovative collection of special needs DVDs designed to encourage physical communication between children and their caregivers. Each DVD in the series presents songs and stories that can be accompanied by different hand textures. They cover a wide range of uses and interventions - from simple calming techniques to sophisticated bodywork manipulations for children needing joint mobility restoration. Designed by Toronto instructors and Registered Somatic Movement Therapists, Yuji Oka and Stephanie Gottlob. Originally dancers, Yuji and Stephanie have worked together for over 20 years, developing new somatic interventions, and bringing it to many diverse populations, including children with emotional disturbances, movement professionals, and laypeople recovering from injuries.
