Tara Rachel Jones, M. Ed. has developed her own approach to children's yoga which is simply yet uniquely: a synthesis of education, developmental movement, and yogic techniques. Trained and experienced in the teaching of Public Private, Montessori and Waldorf education, she has been a pioneer of children's yoga in the Boston area.
Her training and inspiration to bring yoga to children came from Sarabess Forster, her beloved yoga teacher. She started teaching yoga to children in her Montessori classroom in 1993 and has been teaching yoga to young people from nursery school through high school ever since.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
"Yoga is for the whole family. In its integrity, it is much more than postures, it is a life long practice that teaches us how to treat ourselves and others and techniques for caring and cultivating a balanced mind and body through exercise, breathing, relaxation and meditation. This book shares the ancient gesture of human and animal, human and environment with instructions and history that share the science of yoga. Have a fun, safe and informative practice!"
